RESEARCH - Recently done / undertaken
 
Completed the Report on the Ethnographic notes on Ten Communities of Darjeeling Hills and submitted the report to the Principal Secretary.
   
Conducted detail ethnographic study on the Mahatos of Sundarbans - Report submitted.
   
Supplied Specific recommendation on the Mahatos / Mahtos of Kalyani of Nadia district - Report submitted.
   
Initiated a big project on the Culture Survey of the Scheduled Tribes of West Bengal - In Progress.
   
Conducted Ethnographic Survey on Dhimal of Darjeeling.
   
The Base-Line Survey on Lodha - Processed data has been received from WEBEL TECHNOLOGY Ltd. The generation of Tables, analysis and writing of reports are in progress.
   
Submitted the Plan documents on the Three Primitive Tribal Groups of West Bengal to the Backward Classes Welfare Department and attended meeting with the Government of India.
   
Undertaken the studies proposed by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, regarding - Extent of participation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe candidates in different categories of Government services.
   
Continuous answering to the queries on identification of caste / community status of the disputed cases sponsored by the certificate issuing/enquiring authorities.
   
Submitted write-up on Seven Communities for the National Commission on Backward Classes.
   
Evaluation of LAMPS of two districts of West Bengal : South 24-Parganas and Bankura.

Conducted Primary Level Bhawaiya Sangeet Competition.

Arranged for Translation of P.O. Bodding's write-up from Micro Film Printout.
 
PUBLICATION
